Extended Gerber Format
Files to Send to Manufacturer
Output of 'Extended Gerber' Format (RS274X) - Which Files Do I Send to the Board Manufacturer?
Please send the following files to your board house:
boardname.cmp - Gerber file for component side
boardname.sol - Gerber file for solder side
boardname.plc - Gerber file for silk screen cmp
boardname.stc - Gerber file for solder stop mask cmp
boardname.sts - Gerber file for solder stop mask sol
You have to add the drill files, of course. Follow the steps described in Generating a Drill Rack File and Generating Drill Data.
